M\u00e1s de 1,4 millones de personas necesitan ayuda alimentaria.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Cifras<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>3.351 v\u00edctimas mortales<\/p>\n<p>6.833 heridos<\/p>\n<p>8.000 personas afectadas<\/p>\n<p><strong>Situaci\u00f3n general<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tres d\u00edas despu\u00e9s de que un terremoto de 7,8 grados en la escala de Richter sacudiera la regi\u00f3n central y occidental de Nepal, las r\u00e9plicas contin\u00faan afectando la vida cotidiana de la gente. Son numerosas las personas que siguen durmiendo al aire libre. Ayer, 27 de abril, el Gobierno emiti\u00f3 una declaraci\u00f3n p\u00fablica para disipar los rumores sobre otro terremoto inminente (Fuente: NEOC- <a href=\"http:\/\/neoc.gov.np\/en\/\">http:\/\/neoc.gov.np\/en\/<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Durante las \u00faltimas 24 horas, el n\u00famero de v\u00edctimas mortales ha ascendido, de 2.288 a 3.351. Al mismo tiempo, el n\u00famero de heridos se ha incrementado, pasando de 5.850 a 6.833. Se espera que estas cifras contin\u00faen aumentando, ya que los equipos de b\u00fasqueda y rescate est\u00e1n pudiendo llegar a zonas remotas. La mayor\u00eda de las personas fallecidas se registran en Bhaktapur, Katmand\u00fa y Lalitpur.<\/p>\n<p>De acuerdo con estimaciones iniciales, 8 millones de personas en 39 distritos se han visto afectadas, de las cuales m\u00e1s de 2 millones viven en 11 distritos que han sido gravemente sacudidos.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan las primeras evaluaciones realizadas, 1,4 millones de personas necesitan ayuda alimentaria. De ellas, 750.000 viven cerca del epicentro, en viviendas de baja calidad. Se espera que el impacto en los medios de vida basados en la agricultura y la seguridad alimentaria sea extremadamente alto.<\/p>\n<p>Las necesidades inmediatas en materia de salud incluyen carpas m\u00e9dicas, medicamentos, material quir\u00fargico y bolsas para cad\u00e1veres. En el Valle de Katmand\u00fa, las personas tienen una vida tranquila. Mientras que los peque\u00f1os comercios han abierto hoy sus puertas, los grandes negocios permanecen cerrados. Por miedo a quedarse sin combustible, los coches y los camiones hacen cola en las gasolineras de la ciudad.
